Position Responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant provides academic program assistance and support to the Dean, Program Directors, Program Coordinators, faculty, and students in the Graduate School of Business and Technology.

  • Prepare for and attend meetings related to the programs
  • Monitor, request, and collect syllabi as needed for University compliance
  • Monitor and request textbooks as needed by faculty or Program Director requests
  • Answer questions and direct students to the appropriate university contacts
  • Complete and monitor instructor travel expense forms as needed
  • Complete routine and systematic forms and communications
  • Assist with new faculty orientation and new student orientation

  • Have the ability to meet deadlines
  • Be able to meet confidentiality guidelines
  • Be able to maintain accuracy with data entry and have high attention to detail
  • Have excellent organizational skills and a commitment to student service
  • Have high level of interpersonal skills
  • Have efficiency in technology including: Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Excel, Google Spreadsheets and other tracking systems
  The successful candidate must support, respect, and advance the mission of Saint Mary's University as a Lasallian Catholic institution.
Education and Experience
  • Associate’s degree or some college coursework preferred
  • Administrative experience with an institution of higher education preferred
