Position Responsibilities

The Assistant Athletic Trainer will work in conjunction with the sports medicine staff to coordinate the healthcare of Student-Athletes. This position will educate Student-Athletes on general health habits that will assist in injury prevention and overall well-being and will provide medical coverage at athletic events. 
  • Daily instruction of Student-Athletes on rehabilitation exercises post injury in order to provide a safe return to athletic participation
  • Implement the treatment, care and rehabilitation of injuries according to the protocols by the team physician
  • Evaluate and direct the emergency medical attention given when a student-athlete is seriously injured in practice or competition
  • Manage the supervision and clinical instruction of students in an Athletic Training Student Education Program

Education and Experience

  • BOC Certified
  • Licensed/or eligible State of Minnesota
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 2 years of experience desired but new grads welcome to apply
  • Current CPR certification
