Position Responsibilities
The Coordinator of Academic Administration provides administrative support for various academic functions within the Schools of Graduate and Professional Programs (SGPP). Responsibilities include:
  • Provide support to the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and Academic Dean in the planning processes for the SGPP.
  • Support SGPP faculty hiring and ranking processes.
    • Support the online faculty qualifications data collection process.
    • Maintain SGPP course contracted faculty credentials and files.
    • Coordinate information with other university offices.
  • Support faculty development events and processes.
    • Record and manage Faculty Development Committee meeting minutes.
    • Use the Google Suite to create and manage event registrations and evaluations.
    • Support the maintenance of the SGPP Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CELT) website.
    • Manage rooms, meeting times, invitations, and hospitality duties associated with CELT events.
    • Manage the course observation electronic forms and files.
  • Support all administrative functions of the SGPP Research Review Board.
  • Conduct research projects related to enrollment management and program review.
  • Coordinate and communicate information on SGPP learning opportunities such as Brown Bag Series, Constitution Day (September), and mission-related activities.
  • Assist with credit card reconciliation.
  • Coordinate work for interns in absence of direct supervisor.
  • Complete other projects, as assigned, including participating in Commencement.
Essential Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate must have:
  • excellent written and interpersonal communication skills;
  • experience with database utilization and technology-driven solutions, including Google docs and MS Office;
  • highly refined organizational skills;
  • a willingness and ability to learn new technology; and 
  • an ability to maintain confidentiality of data and decisions.

Education and Experience
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience managing complex projects
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in a higher education setting
  • Masters degree
