Position Responsibilities

Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota invites applications for a doctoral faculty position in our School of Business and Technology. This position teaches evening courses in quantitative analysis, economics and research in the Doctor of Business Administration program. This key faculty member is responsible for the academic advising of students, as well as serving on and as chair of dissertation committees. This position will support, in words and actions, the Lasallian educational mission of the university.    

Essential Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate must:
  • Have highly developed teaching expertise and affinity for working with adult students.
  • Have demonstrated research curiosity in the areas of quantitative analysis, macro and microeconomics, and business analysis.
  • Have comfort with editing and using the APA writing style.
  • Contribute to and support the positive esprit des corps in the Doctor of Business Administration program.
  • Have strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate basic proficiency in office and educational technology.
  • Demonstrate professional decorum and ethical decision-making.
  • Be able to work evenings.
  The successful candidate must support, respect, and advance the mission of Saint Mary's University as a Lasallian Catholic institution.
Education and Experience
  • A doctoral degree from a regionally accredited university related to a quantitative business field is required.
  • Five years of experience in a professional/technical lead role and evidence of scholarly contributions to the profession preferred.
  • Faculty rank assignment will depend on the amount of applicable and demonstrated teaching experience and publications.
