Position Responsibilities
The Enrollment Counselor will be responsible for recruitment and relationship building for the School of Graduate and Professional Programs.  The individual will manage the student recruitment process from initial inquiry through registration to increase enrollment for the Graduate School of Business and Technology.
 
Job responsibilities include:
  • Inform and advise prospective students of business and technology graduate programs. 
  • Meet with prospective students, conduct campus tours, and serve as the main point of contact during the admission process.
  • Collaborate with Program Directors on recruiting efforts and serve as the liaison with students.
  • Participate in on and off campus admission events to promote Saint Mary’s University’s programs.
  • Maintain a detailed contact management record to promote positive relationships with prospective students.
  • Assist in the tracking of prospective student inquiries, student appointments, student applications and acceptances each term.
  • Monitor daily application and inquiry activity, identify application trends and develop recruitment action plans by program.
  • Meet or exceed the established enrollment goals for the Office of Admission.
Essential Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate must:
  • Have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Be detail-oriented.
  • Be able to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
  • Have computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail.
  • Have a demonstrated commitment to customer service.
  • Be able to work evenings and weekend hours.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree is required.  Experience in higher education and/or sales, marketing and understanding of employment opportunities/job outlook in the region and greater metro area is preferred.
