Position Responsibilities
Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota seeks an experienced and dynamic individual for the position of Program Director of the Master of Arts in Health and Human Services graduate program. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position based in Minneapolis with responsibilities in Rochester and online.
 
This motivated individual will be responsible for the leadership, direction, and administration of the program which is offered in both online and on ground formats.  Overall responsibilities include overseeing and leading the following: development and assessment of the curriculum; recruitment and development of teaching faculty; recruitment, retention, and advising of students; and scheduling of courses. General administration of the program includes overseeing the budget, supervise staff, and initiating and maintaining professional contacts in the health sector.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.  Strong interpersonal skills that will positively impact interactions with adult learners, faculty and other professionals in academic settings, and community partners, are essential. Professional decorum and ethical decision-making are important elements of this position.

Education and Experience
A master’s degree in a related field (healthcare administration or management preferred) and at least five years of professional work experience in the field. Higher education experience is preferred in academic administration, graduate teaching/advising, and experience in online education. Experience with specialty accreditation is welcomed.
