Knowledge is Power
Collecting, interpreting, and presenting information to support data-driven decisions that promote continuous quality improvement.
The Office of Institutional Research at Saint Mary's is responsible for responding to requests for institutional data from external agencies and internal constituencies. The staff provides the university community accurate and timely information to facilitate decision-making and to support continuous quality improvement.
One component of our work is creating a Fact Book that gives an overview of our university population. View the most recent Fact Books here:
The College Navigator was developed by the U.S. Department of Education as a consumer tool for students and their families to provide a core set of descriptive statistics compiled and derived from data collected on the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) surveys. IPEDS surveys are the core postsecondary education data collection program for NCES – the National Center for Education Statistics. Each institution’s College Navigator profile provides publicly available institutional data, such as programs offered and degrees awarded, retention and graduation rates, the price of attendance, and student aid availability.
