After a decade of inspirational leadership, Brother William Mann, FSC, announced in September he will step down as Saint Mary’s 13th president on May 31, 2018. To begin the search for his successor, the Board of Trustees established a 12-member Presidential Search Committee. The committee, chaired by current Trustee Terry Russell ’76, comprises representatives from across the university community, including board members, De La Salle Christian Brothers, faculty, staff, and students—all united in their commitment to find Saint Mary’s next outstanding and dynamic leader.
The Board of Trustees has also approved the retention of a search firm to assist with this national presidential search.
Saint Mary’s next president will join a transformational academic community with a powerful trajectory—a university known for its relationship-driven and person-centered education; its unwavering mission; and its strong academic programming at every level: bachelor’s, bachelor’s completion, master’s, certificate, specialist, and doctoral.
This site is designed to keep the campus community informed on the search process. Please check back for updates and announcements from the Presidential Search Committee.
