Become Part of a Medical Revolution in Minnesota . . .
Current undergraduate students majoring in the sciences are invited to apply for a two-week workshop on Advancing Regenerative Medicine to be held May 29-June 9, 2017 at the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota Winona Campus.
Students selected to take part in this state-of-the-art educational experience focused on advancing clinically relevant scientific discovery in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering will receive $1,000 and obtain complimentary room and board for the two-week workshop.
Focused on an evolving area of science, this workshop will feature innovative learning and hands-on activities on the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota Winona Campus, including in modern classrooms and labs in the university’s new Science and Learning Center. The workshop will also include guest speakers and a tour of the Center for Regenerative Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in nearby Rochester, Minn.
The transitional and groundbreaking discipline of regenerative medicine has tremendous potential to impact the treatment of diseases affecting different organ systems—from tissue growth for burn victims to growing new vital organs, like hearts and kidneys.
