Is your group ready to experience Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota?

Thank you for your interest in Saint Mary’s University! We look forward to seeing you on campus and want to ensure you make the most of your Saint Mary’s.

If you plan to visit Saint Mary’s with eight or more students, please review the following policies before requesting a visit. The maximum number of students we can accommodate is 50.

You may select one of the following options to take part in during your group visit at Saint Mary’s:

  • An overview of Saint Mary’s and the admission process with an admission counselor (approximately 30 minutes)
  • An overview of Saint Mary’s and the student experience with current students (approximately 30 minutes)
  • Campus walk with current Saint Mary’s students (approximately 1-1.5 hours)
  • Lunch in the Saint Mary’s cafeteria (must be approved in advance)

Group visits are available for high schools and community groups with students in grades 9th - 12th grade. They are offered Monday through Thursday at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. with the exception of some blackout dates. We do not offer group visits on Saturdays or Sundays.  We ask that you submit your preferred visit date at least one to two weeks in advance using the online group campus visit request form. We will do our best to accommodate your request; however, due to overlapping requests or staff limitations, we may not be able to schedule your visit on one of your requested dates.

Saint Mary’s will confirm your request by email with the date, time, and arrival location of your visit. If you need to cancel, we require that you do so at least 24 hours in advance.

All groups with students must provide one adult chaperone for every 8 students. Campus walks will be led by current Saint Mary’s students, and chaperones are asked to accompany these walks. Saint Mary’s reserves the right to cancel the campus walk if enough chaperones are not available.

Your group will be doing a lot of walking during its time on campus. Campus visits are approximately 1-3 hours depending on the size and the requests of the group. Please encourage everyone in your group to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. We also encourage to you check the local weather a day or two prior to your visit to see if other items are needed, such as an umbrella or jacket.

If your group would like to eat lunch on campus in our cafeteria for a discounted cost of $8.00 per person, please make arrangements in advance with Andrea Moore, Associate Director of Events and Experiences. Checks should be made payable to the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, Office of Admission.

Before requesting a group visit, please review the options below to see what Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota can offer your group. We are not able to accommodate all groups, but we will do our best to provide a memorable Saint Mary’s Experience!
