Guest Speaker

Throughout the year, many different speakers visit Saint Mary’s. During the Lasallian Week of Peace this year, Jerome Mayne visited the school. I attended his presentation, and he had some great things to say. The main topic in his presentation was business ethics. Jerome also told his story which included being a banking executive and white collar criminal. This event was very interesting to go to, especially since it was dealing with business ethics which is a tough subject. Learning about it from Jerome’s perspective was also interesting as it is not common to hear that perspective.

Saint Mary’s will have many different speakers throughout the rest of the year. Some of the speakers that have visited during my time here include Dave Anderson (the Founder of Famous Dave’s) and John McDonough (President of Chicago Blackhawks). There will be many other great speakers this year and I will keep you posted!
