I am going to tell you a little bit about a sport that I have not heard of until this semester. This sport has turned out to be the most exciting intramural this quarter. The sport is co-ed so at least two girls play on every team. It is played on a basketball court here, and the rule that is hardest to remember is that only the goalie can be inside the 3-point arc. The goal is about the size of a lacrosse net, but it is twice as wide. Each goal is worth one point and the object of the game is to score the most points in two 18 minute halves. To move the ball up the court a player can pass or dribble. Also, each person gets three steps before and after they dribble. I am really glad this is an intramural sport here because I have never heard of this game before. Check out the video clip to see some footage of how the game is played.
