This semester I am writing two large research papers for my classes. In advanced accounting, I am supposed to write about a current issue in business. The topic I chose was the insider trading rules for members of Congress. Ever since 60 minutes aired a story about this last fall, Congress has been under a lot of heat to fix the issue. It was just announced today that the STOCK Act to stop insider trading has been passed by the House of Representatives. I will be keeping up on this issue this spring as I write my paper.

The other research paper I need to write is about a director for my modern movies class. The director I was assigned was Mel Gibson. The assignment is to research his films, techniques, and background to determine the contributions he has made to filmmaking. Both of these papers are going to keep me very busy this spring since they are both 8-10 pages!
