We are pleased to welcome international students to Saint Mary’s University! Our faculty and staff are dedicated to your success and academic achievement. As an international student, we understand that it is challenging to begin life in a new and unfamiliar community in a culture other than your own.
Upon acceptance to Saint Mary’s University, students will be provided with an International New Student Orientation and immigration advising related to F-1 status. Throughout further completion of study, students will receive advising for employment authorization and the application process for Optional Practical Training (OPT).
Your International Student Advisor will be the primary contact for you while attending school. They have experience in the issues international students face and are prepared to help you.
With nearly 5,700 students enrolled in various locations including Minneapolis, Rochester and Winona as well as in Jamaica and Kenya, students are able to engage in studies to pursue bachelor, master and doctorate level degree programs. We value the rich diversity in culture and experiences that international students bring to the classroom and currently have approximately 120 international students enrolled from countries including China, Colombia, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Poland and Tanzania. You will truly see the world in your courses!
