A detailed look at our Girls Basketball Camp

Checkout: Will follow the awards ceremony at noon.
NOTE: Do not forget to bring a photocopy (front and back) of your daughter's medical card.

MEAL INFORMATION:
Dinner on Sunday through breakfast on Thursday will be provided.
BANKING SERVICES:
We will provide banking services so that you will need to carry only a small amount of cash with you. Campers will be issued a punch card for requested denominations. All purchases and charges will be assessed against a campers account upon request. Campers can also request cash to be withdrawn if they desire.
SNACK BAR:
The camp snack bar will be open in the residence hall each evening for snacks and refreshments. Campers will be able to get a snack after their evening game or while watching the evening film in the residence hall lounge. Nightly pizza orders are available at an additional charge.

GENERAL FAQs:
Q: Do we offer scholarships?
A: Not at this time
Q: What kind of supervision is there?
A: Campers are supervised during their entire stay. All facilities are on campus and campers will not be traveling off-site.
Q: Are the rooms air-conditioned?
A: SMU dorms are not currently air-conditioned. Fans are permitted and recommended. Window units are NOT allowed. Alternate sleeping arrangements may by made if weather conditions become severe.
Q: What will occur if there is a storm? It's too hot? Etc.?
A: Program Directors are updated frequently by security and SMU Administration of any threatening weather conditions. All staff are trained on procedures to be followed in any emergency situation.
Q: May I check in or out early or late?
A: We understand that our campers are coming from long distances, swim meets, family reunions and other sporting activities. There is no problem in checking in a couple hours later. Just notify the camp office and we will make arrangements to fit your situation.
Q: May parents visit campers while at camp?
A: Yes, we encourage parents to come and visit. You may watch the instruction while visiting your child(ren).
BASKETBALL FAQs:
Q: What is the player to coach ratio?
A: 9:1
Q: What types of skills will participants learn?
A: Campers will be learning the fundamentals of basketball - shooting, ball handling, passing, defense and rebounding, as well as playing competitive games.
Q: Will they play games?
A: Yes, campers will play games where they can put to use the skills learned in the individual instruction lessons.
Q: How are teams divided up?
A: Teams will be divided up by grade and ability level.
