The K-12 Reading Teacher Graduate Certificate program prepares candidates for Minnesota and/or Wisconsin (316) licensure as K-12 Reading Teachers. In addition to providing direct instruction to students, graduates of the program are trained to develop and supervise reading programs. The 15-month program is structured to fit professional educators’ schedules and is offered at convenient locations throughout Minnesota.
This certificate can be completed as a stand-alone program, as part of the M.A. in Literacy Education or as part of the M.A. in Education. Candidates for the M.A. in Literacy degree will complete seven additional courses focusing on reading and writing development across the lifespan.
