Autism Spectrum Disorder Licensure Preparation
Offered within Saint Mary’s Master of Arts in Special Education

This is a new option for educators who are already licensed as a special educator and looking to add ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) licensure. All courses and practicum meet Minnesota ASD standards.

Course Requirements

EDSE661 Characteristics of ASD 3 cr.
EDSE662 Strategies and Assessment of ASD 3 cr.
EDSE684 Practicum 1 cr.
EDSE634 Assistive Technology, Instruction, and Interventions 2 cr.
EDSE607 Literacy Development 3 cr.
and/or
 
EDSE633 Reading, Language Arts & Children’s Literature Methods  4 cr.
Total: 12-13 cr.
