Mary Louise Wise received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education from the University of Miami – Coral Gables, FL, and received an undergraduate degree in psychology an M.Ed. in Counseling and Student Personnel Services from the University of Missouri – Columbia, MO. She taught in the master's and doctoral programs at the University of Kansas – Lawrence for four years, prior to moving to the Twin Cities where she has coordinated a private practice 20+ years. Her practice specialty areas include individual therapy regarding long-term effects of trauma experiences and supervision of therapists. She has taught in the Counseling and Psychological Services program at Saint Mary's for 15 years and has served as the Associate Program Director and Practicum Coordinator for 10 years. She also serves on the university Faculty Development Committee and the Assessment Committee, She also serves on the SMU President’s Council for LaSallian Mission.
