Faculty Signe Nestingen, Psy.D. Psychology Doctorate Program - Core Associate Professor and Internship Director (612) 238-4571 email@example.com Dr. Nestingen received her Psy.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas in 2000. She is a core faculty member, and the internship director, in the Counseling Psychology doctoral program at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Dr. Nestingen has taught in the Counseling and Psychological Services master’s program since 2007. As a psychologist, and small business owner, she has coordinated a private practice providing counseling for individuals and couples, as well as consultation for small businesses and organizations, public speaking, training, and teaching for 25 years. As both a licensed psychologist and a licensed marriage and family therapist, she provides supervision and consultation, both singly and in organizations, to health care professionals. Dr. Nestingen has taught at the University of St. Thomas, the Adler Institute and Metropolitan State University. She has served on the Minnesota Psychological Association (MPA) ethics and education committees and on the steering committee for MN Women in Psychology. Dr. Nestingen has published articles for both the lay public and professionals and is the co-author of a book about the use of art in healing from sexual trauma.
