Faculty Matthew Hanson, Ph.D. MA Counseling/Psych Services - Adjunct Assistant Professor firstname.lastname@example.org Matt earned his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota’s Counseling and Student Personnel Psychology Program (CSPP) in the Department of Educational Psychology. He has worked as a psychologist at University Counseling and Consulting Services at the University of Minnesota for nearly 14 years and currently serves as the coordinator for outreach and career services. Matt sits on the University's Provost’s Committee for student mental health and has been an active collaborator with the University’s Student Conflict Resolution Center (SCRC) in drafting policy to help graduate students and faculty create working and productive advising relationships. Matt has taught career counseling/theory courses at Saint Mary’s University and at the University of Minnesota and he has presented at local, regional, and national conferences on various issues related to personal and professional development. He has co-authored two articles published in the Journal of Career Development, as well as book chapters and articles pertaining to developing expertise in counseling and therapy. In addition to counseling and teaching, Matt has been associate staff for a Minneapolis based consulting/organizational development firm, and is an active member of different associations related to the practice of professional psychology and career counseling.
