Dr. Stewart has over 34 years of clinical experience and is a leader in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy. He has been President of the Minnesota Division of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (MAMFT). He was a Board Member of MAMFT for 13 years and desktop publisher and Administrative Coordinator for MAMFT for 5 years receiving the Editors Award from MAMFT for his contributions to the Newsletter and desktop publishing. He has published articles in the Journal of Systemic Therapies, the Journal for Marital and Family Therapy and The Australian New Zealand Journal of Family Therapy. He was on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Systemic Therapies for several years. Dr. Stewart has taught marriage and family therapy and theories at North Dakota State University, Argosy University in the Twin Cities, the University of Minnesota, Metropolitan State University, and Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Dr. Stewart also supervises marriage and family therapists and supervisors. Dr. Stewart maintains a private practice in the Minneapolis area with offices in Minnetonka and Minneapolis.
