The national character of the United States is based on a self-image of a young, physically and socially mobile society. The story hasn’t changed, but the reality has.
Explore with us how demographic and economic upheavals are impacting Minnesota’s story, specifically businesses and their changes in owners, employees, customers and the culture of their markets. Be prepared to ask questions and explore new chapters in the immigrant story.
This seminar will be valuable for representatives of companies conducting business or planning to conduct business internationally, including management, legal counsel, finance, business development and sales staff; companies with a market demographic impacted by immigration; and people with an interest in predicting how the demographics and economy of Minnesota are impacted by national and international trends.
Held in advance of the Hendrickson Institute for Ethical Leadership: Forum 2010, participants will have time to travel to the Nicollet Island Inn to hear “Global Migration: Best Practices for Business and Society in a Changing World” by Dr. Marcelo Suárez-Orozco.
The panel will include Tom Gillaspy, Minnesota State Demographer and the moderator will be Paul Richard Bohr, former Director, Minnesota Trade Office; and faculty member, Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.
Cost: $20.00 for the public, $10 for SMU students and employees. Please register by April 15, 2010 – Space is limited.
