Meal Plans & Special Dietary Needs
Chartwells Campus Dining is prepared to serve the Saint Mary’s community for all food service needs. As all resident students are required to have a meal plan, every effort is made to accommodate students with various nutritional and scheduling requirements as necessary.
Meal Plans
Saint Mary’s University, through Chartwells, provides six meal plan options:
- 21-Meal Plan: 21 meals per week in the Dining Hall
- 17-Meal Plan: 17 meals per week in the Dining Hall and $50 flex/per semester (Available to second semester freshmen only)
- 14-Meal Plan: 14 meals per week in the Dining Hall and $100 flex/per semester
- 10-Meal Plan: 10 meals per week in the Dining Hall and $125 flex/semester
- 7-Meal Plan: 7 meals per week in the Dining Hall and $225 flex/per semester
- 50-Block plan: 50 meals and $50 flex/semester (off campus students only)
Freshmen are required to participate in the 21-meal plan; a 17-meal plan and $50 in flex money is available to second semester freshmen only. Sophomores, juniors and seniors may choose any meal plan they desire. Students eligible to switch meal plans may do so within two weeks of the first meal plan day of each semester. Deadlines for changing meal plans will be posted at the beginning of each semester and any meal plan changes made after the deadlines will be prorated daily. Changes in meal plans can be done in the Chartwells office, while meal plan additions or exemptions can be handled through the Office of Student Development. Flex dollars may be used at the Cardinal Club, Cotter Cafe and the dining hall.
Special Dietary Needs
Chartwells and Saint Mary’s University student health services will work closely with each other to accommodate any special dietary requirements. If you have a specific dietary need, please make an appointment with the student health services director.
