Institute in Pastoral Ministries
Program Overview
The Institute in Pastoral Ministries (IPM) responds to the educational needs of persons engaged in collaborative ministries in the Roman Catholic Church. Others enroll because they seek to know Catholic doctrine, theology, pastoral practices, and canon law.
The Institute offers five affordable programs to deacons, laity, and priests from throughout the United States and Canada:
Rhythm of Learning
Our graduate and certificate programs begin after Easter and conclude before Advent. They proceed each year in three movements;
* reading and writing to be completed at home in preparation for the residency;
* two-week summer-residency in Winona where students and faculty immerse into
critical dialogue, liturgical prayer, and relaxation; and,
* post-residency assignments at home that include additional reading and writing
that promote insight from research that can reference the pastoral context of
participants' local churches.
Current dates for IPM's summer-residencies are:
* June 22 - July 4, 2009 (receiving applications)
* June 13 - June 27, 2010
