When I joined “IPM” fifteen years ago I assumed that only the heavy research model of education was real learning. I now appreciate the inspired learning that comes from a chemistry of life-experienced students and teaching-oriented faculty. Yes, our professors are experts; but they’re also learners. Yes, our students seek credentials; but they’re also wise. Together we explore practical wisdom to serve our Roman Catholic faith and to honor God.

For a quarter century we’ve educated Catholic leaders from across the United States and Canada through a “blended delivery” that combines two weeks in Winona with studies at home before and afterward. Our faculty and students enjoy both rhythms of summer as well as an immersion into Catholic beliefs, theologies, and practices.

We are parish lay ministers and firefighters. We are vicars general and DREs. We are curious Catholics and corporate vice presidents. We are pastoral teams from Los Angeles and pastoral associates from New Ulm. We are the Body of Christ. I encourage you to call current students or me about our little mission on the Mississippi! A link to current students is found on the right-side of this page.

I’m at 507.452.8837 (every evening and 11 to noon central most weekdays), or email gsobolew@smumn.edu.

Let’s pray today for our families, including the Church.
