Spread-Some-Warmth Winter Clothing Drive in Twin Cities
Clean out your closets or hit the holiday sales and contribute to Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota’s winter coat drive.
Saint Mary’s University and its Schools of Graduate and Professional Programs, based in Minneapolis, is partnering with Community Action of Minneapolis (www.campls.org) to provide warm clothing to those in need this winter.
All are invited to drop off new or gently used, clean coats, hats, scarves and mittens at one of three Saint Mary’s University campus locations in the Twin Cities between Nov. 25 and Dec. 10, 2013. Donation boxes are on the Minneapolis campus at 2500 Park Avenue South in La Salle Hall or Park Avenue North Building as well as at the University’s Apple Valley Center (14200 Cedar Avenue, Apple Valley).
If you prefer to contribute money instead of clothing and let Saint Mary’s University and its Twin Cities Campus Campus Spirituality Team do the shopping, contact Assistant Dean Susan Jarosak at email@example.com.
The coat drive is part of Community Action of Minneapolis’ annual event, “Cocoa, Cupcakes and the Cold Weather Rule,” to be held Dec. 11-12 at 2104 Park Avenue South in Minneapolis.
This community outreach event is for residents of the Phillips neighborhood and provides resources to connect individuals and families with energy assistance and information about Minnesota’s Cold Weather Rule . . . along with cocoa, cupcakes and coats too.
Thank you for your generous spirit during this holiday season.
