Brother William meets legislators, greets alumni in Washington, D.C.
For the second year, Brother William and senior management from Saint Mary’s University held meetings in Washington, D.C. to strengthen relationships with the Minnesota congressional delegation. During the two-day visit on Feb. 4 and 5, Brother William also met with Senator Mike Johanns of Nebraska, a 1971 SMU alum, and Rep. Sean Duffy ’94 of Wisconsin. Traveling with Brother William were Dr. Steven Titus, senior vice president for university advancement, and Meg Richtman, assistant vice president for alumni relations. Brother William spoke with legislators about the strategic plan, the Saint Mary’s Centennial, and highlighted veterans and other initiatives at the university.
Prior to his meetings on Capitol Hill, Brother William greeted Saint Mary’s and Saint Teresa alums, parents, friends at a Centennial Celebration social and dinner in Washington, D.C. The event was well-attended and resulted in enthusiastic conversation and engagement.
