FACULTY AND STAFF OUTREACH
Campus Ministry works with Faculty Development to offer at least one reflection opportunity or retreat each year. This year we will be providing free coffee, breakfast snacks, and conversation every first Friday in rotating departments. All faculty and staff members are welcome to attend.
LONG-TERM VOLUNTEER SERVICE
Many of our graduates spend a year or two as volunteers in a variety of domestic and international settings. Campus Ministry actively promotes post-graduation volunteer service and has many resources, including a bi-monthly discernment group available to help you consider this option.
Contact Rebecca Sallee or Katie LaPlant for more information about long-term volunteering or the discernment group.
For information about the Lasallian Volunteer Program see the Christian Brothers Conference web site.
MINISTRY LEADERSHIP COUNCIL
Students lead many service, community, faith, and justice oriented activities and groups at Saint Mary’s. Student leaders serve on the Ministry Leadership Council, which meets monthly as an opportunity to share news, develop leadership skills, and hopefully collaborate in our efforts.

RELIGIOUS LIFE
-
Br. Pat Conway coordinates the Christian Brothers’ Contact Program for young men interested in learning more about the Christian Brothers.
RETREATS
Many groups offer retreats as part of their programs. Contact OCM for more information.
Once a semester OCM sponsors a well-loved, student-led retreat called TEC (Together Encountering Christ.)
TEC retreats, based on the Paschal Mystery of Jesus, are wonderful opportunities to grow in your faith in God and knowledge of yourself. If you have already attended a TEC retreat, you may apply for a team position.
SOUL (Serving Others United in Love)
Sometimes referred to as the best kept secret at SMU, SOUL sponsors service trips to domestic and international destinations over October and February breaks, as well as during the month of May. All SMU students are welcome to apply for these wonderful opportunities to step outside of our culture and comfort zones and walk in someone else's shoes. Applications for February break trips are available in OCM and due before Thanksgiving Break. Don't miss out on this best kept secret!

SPIRITUAL DIRECTION
Spiritual Direction is the process of exploring your faith journey with a spiritual director. If you are interested in meeting regularly with a member of the Campus Ministry staff, one of the priests, or other qualified staff on campus, please contact the Office of Campus Ministry at extension 1643.
