Tucson, Arizona Borderlinks is a non-profit organization that promotes education about political issues present at the US/Mexico border. Participants will learn about the economic, military and humanity issues that keep this topic in the spotlight. The focus of this trip will primarily be education. One day of the trip will be service oriented while the others will be educationally based. New Orleans, Louisiana De La Salle is located in the heart of New Orleans and sustained significant wind damage during Hurricane Katrina. Families of students also were greatly affected by the storm and many lost everything they owned. While working with the school you will have the opportunity to work both at the school and with the families of the students doing a variety of tasks. COST-$250

Cranks, Kentucky While working in Cranks, volunteers will be helping those in need in the Appalachian region. Work will include fixing up houses and working with various support agencies in the county. COST-$200

Browning, Montana While in Browning you will work at the De La Salle Blackfeet School, a model middle school on the Blackfeet Reservation in Northwestern Montana. While working on the reservation you will learn the culture of Blackfeet tribe. Kansas City, Missouri Holy Family House serves as a shelter for families, as well as a “soup kitchen” for the local neighborhood. You will be helping there as well as participating in other service projects. COST-$225

Minto, North Dakota Saint Gianna’s is a home for expectant mothers and homeless women in rural North Dakota. Volunteers will help around the house and support the women at the house. Walls, Mississippi While in Mississippi, participants will work with Sacred Heart Southern Mission. The goal of this organization is to provide affordable housing to low and middle income families in a fast growing yet impoverished region of the south. Participants will also travel to Memphis and the surrounding area in order to better understand the Civil Rights movement. COST-$175

Philippines May 13-31* Participants will spend 2 weeks working with troubled youth at Bahay Pag-Asa and with orphans at the Bacolod Boys Home. Through University of Saint Lasalle, Bacolod City, the group will also be exposed to the culture and day-to-day life in the Philippines. Preference will be given to upper classman and those who have made S.O.U.L. trips in the past. COST-$1,500 *Payment for this trip will be due April 15.
