Sonia Feder-Lewis earned her doctorate in English from the University of Minnesota. She has taught English and Composition at the college and graduate level for 20 years, 15 of those at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota – TC. She has worked extensively both at Saint Mary's and previously at the University of Minnesota with students with diverse language backgrounds.
