The Emergency Response Plan was designed to provide protocols for Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota to use in response to emergencies on the Winona and Saint Teresa campuses. The plan is intended to provide a means of mitigating emergencies that are of such magnitude as to cause a significant disruption of the normal operations of all or part of the university’s Winona or Saint Teresa campus.

Each emergency situation requires a specific response in terms of needed resources and proper protocols. The plan addresses each type of emergency on an individual basis with protocols that are designed to be flexible in order to accommodate contingencies of various types and magnitudes. The plan is reviewed on a regular basis.
