The information collected for this report reflects the status of the 2006 Saint Mary’s University graduates 6-12 months after graduation. The data was obtained from the graduates through an on-line survey, mail survey, telephone follow-up, or in some cases, through contact with faculty members.
We were able to obtain information on 177 of the 230 graduates. Of the 177 who responded, 53% were employed full-time, 14% were continuing their education, 13% were employed full-time and continuing their education, 10% were employed part-time and continuing their education, and 4% were employed part-time. 5% of the respondents indicated long-term volunteer service as their primary activity. 1% of the graduates were not employed and not seeking employment.
In response to the survey’s inquiry about their level of satisfaction with their jobs, 94% of the responding graduates who were employed full-time were very satisfied or moderately satisfied with their current positions.
81% of the graduates working full-time provided salary information. 86% of those responding reported salaries above $20,000.
The geographic distribution of the responding 2006 graduates shows 60% residing in Minnesota, 12% in Illinois, 9% in Wisconsin and the other 19% residing in 19 different states and 2 other countries.
