Students find out quickly that Saint Mary's University is a welcoming community and a great place to learn and live. While relatively small in numbers, the student body enjoys big opportunities, such as easy access to professors, hands-on classroom experiences, internships, and overseas options. The knowledge, skills, friendships and connections gained here last a lifetime.
The undergraduate student body of 1,350 enjoys small class sizes, perfect for lively discussions and personal attention. Outside the classroom, students can study abroad in Florence and London; intern in Chicago, the Twin Cities, Washington, D.C., Dublin, Ireland and many other cities; and volunteer around the world.
The scenic Winona campus is located in the majestic bluffs of the Mississippi River valley in southeastern Minnesota. The campus is surrounded on two sides by a network of trails — excellent for hiking, running and skiing — that run along wooded bluffs and a trout stream.
The vibrant campus community offers a full spectrum of student activities and organizations, along with student government, campus ministry and community volunteer programs. Students participate in 21 NCAA Div. III varsity sports. Club sports include paintball, lacrosse, rugby, water polo, men's volleyball, dance team, scuba diving, and skiing/snowboarding. Campus Links
