The Office of the Provost is headed by Dr. Jeffrey Highland, University Provost and Vice President of the College. Oversight of university policies related to academics, management of the university's relationships with external approval and accrediting agencies, university operational planning initiatives, issues related to academic compliance and institutional data management, and coordination of many of the university's annual events (University Convocation Day, Founder's Day, Winona Campus Commencement) are based in the office.
The University Provost serves as the chief academic and operating officer of the university. The Vice President of the College is responsible for the undergraduate College curricular and co-curricular program including the areas of academic affairs, undergraduate admission and student development.

The Office of the Provost is located in room 135 in Saint Mary's Hall. The office is staffed during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) throughout the academic year and summer months.
