Programs for International Students

Saint Mary's University of Minnesota enrolls nearly 6,000 students. Of those, about 1,350 are traditional undergraduates; the rest are adult learners in the Schools of Graduate and Professional Programs.  Saint Mary's University-Winona Campus, located in the majestic bluffs of the Mississippi River Valley, offers a wide range of programs for international students.  The University offers 57 undergraduate majors.  The international student body includes individuals from 23 countries.

The De La Salle Language Institute hosts two programs suited to the needs of students with TOEFL scores below the University’s required minimum.  The Intensive English as a Second Language (ESL) Program offers students the opportunity to improve English language skills while participating fully in the life of a North American university.  The English Language Bridge (ELB) Program, offering early admission to the undergraduate college, consists of credit-bearing courses designed to increase academic proficiency and fulfill general educational requirements.

For students wishing to pursue their education beyond a bachelor’s degree, the Schools of Graduate and Professional Programs (SGPP) at Saint Mary's University offers 50 master degree and certificate programs.  The SGPP is one of the largest graduate schools in Minnesota.
