The Self-Care Center, located in the Wellness Center, allows you to evaluate your upper respiratory symptoms (runny noses, coughs and sore throats) and determine if your symptoms are the result of a bacteria, virus or allergy; and cuts, scrapes and abrasions and determine the appropriate care.

This service allows you the freedom to learn more about your symptoms and determine if you require further evaluation by a nursing professional or if you can safely self-treat your symptoms. If you decide to self-treat, you may obtain certain over-the-counter medications, ointments and dressings from the student health receptionist for free or for a nominal charge. If your symptoms require further evaulation, the receptionist will assist you in making an appointment.
