The 21st century is proving to be increasingly complex and demanding, requiring unique skills and knowledge to compete in today's global marketplace. To meet this demand, our master's program is designed with an emphasis on enabling graduates to analyze and adapt to the diverse and ever-changing business environment.
Our graduate program is unique in that students learn a very important skill set that extends beyond those provided by more traditional business programs. Specifically, the uniqueness of the Saint Mary's MIB program is rooted in:
- providing thorough knowledge and deep insight into the dynamic discipline of international business.
- placing special emphasis on the development of “soft skills,” awareness of the influences and implications of globalization as well as cross-cultural communications.
- developing professional attitudes, a global mindset, and practical international business training via a 3-week International Field Study in Europe.
- an ethnically diverse student body. A key component to an MIB education is exposure to different cultures with their different thought processes and widely varying business practices, which is accomplished by a cohort comprised of both U.S. and international students.
Our program brochure and this web page introduce the basic structure and key facts about the program. I encourage you to visit our beautiful campus, sit in on a class, and speak with current students or contact alumni about their experiences. If a campus visit isn't possible, I encourage you to continue exploring our web site for information about the university, program, and courses.
