Area-wide assessment of cultural references.  Faculty rated 178 student essays in Fall 2005 and Spring 2006 using a rubric that they developed.  The rubric measures specificity and appropriateness of cultural references and analysis of their implications.

Assessment examination (finals week) in H125.   Faculty developed 15-item assessment examination covering the primary concepts of H125, “Europe and the World.”  Summary data include item-level analyses showing trends across semesters; comparisons across sections; and relationships with course grade, GPA, and ACT Composite Score.
