Statement of Purpose, Vision, Goals

 

Statement of Purpose:
The Residence Life staffs of Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota are mentors and role models who provide a safe educational environment for residential students on the Winona campus. Within our LaSallian community we strive to instill an understanding of the balance between freedom and responsibility, while promoting academics, diversity, and personal growth.

Vision:
We strive to enable students to grow and develop as individuals and scholars by empowering them to be accountable and responsible by holding them to high yet attainable community standards, so as to apply the LaSallian Mission to the world around them.

Goals:
The Office of Residence Life seeks to support the educational mission of Saint Mary's University of Minnesota by:

-Cultivating a LaSallian residential community.

-Providing services within the residence halls that are consistent with the University’s Core Values.

-Creating and supporting programs that “Teach Minds” and “Touch Hearts.”
