Hillside Hall

Est. 2001

SMU’s newest residence hall on campus was built on the side of a hill overlooking Gilmore Creek and surrounding bluffs. This four story building houses 100 sophomore students. It is designed in a corridor style with spacious double single sex rooms with private bathroom and showers. Complimenting the academic focus Hillside features four classrooms with updated technical equipment. Hillside also provides on its third floor a substance free housing option for upper class students.

The hall is wireless. Each room contains cable and computer hook up and telephone.

Room Dimensions

The rooms are approximately 15.5’ x 20’ with private bathroom and shower, carpeted, air-conditioned with TV, refrigerator, and blinds furnished for the windows.

Common Areas

Common areas included in the hall are: 2 large lounges, three kitchens with stove, oven, microwave and refrigerator, computer room with 2 computers and 1 printer, four classrooms, three laundry rooms with 3 washers and 3 dryers (fifty cents per load).
