Equipment & Facilities

Computers and Network Access

The library houses two computer labs. The Gremelsbach lab is located just past the Reference Room on the main level.  A smaller  lab in the McEnery Center lower level, when not in use for instruction, is available for group project work and comes equipped with overhead projection facilities.  Individual computer stations are located throughout the library and the McEnery Center for students preferring a quieter space. For those with laptops, wireless network access is available in the library and the McEnery Center, and there are a number of open ports for wired connections as well.  Students will also find two computer stations with scanners on the main level of the library and one in the lower level of the McEnery Center.

Equipment Check-out

Two Gateway Tablet PCs  are available for check-out at the Circulation Desk.  They may be used in conjunction with the 55" plasma TV screen located in Room 237  of the McEnery Center.  Tape and CD players, head phones, and computer cables are also available.  Your St. Mary's ID card is needed for check-out.

Group Study Rooms

All study rooms in McEnery Center and Fitzgerald Library are available on a first come basis all hours the buildings are open. Rooms are not reserved.

Individuals in rooms alone or with others and who are not studying as a group must surrender the room to a group needing to study. Individual quiet study areas include the open area on the lower level of Fitzgerald Library and the individual carrels on the perimeters of all floors.
