Karen advises students, schedules classes, oversees the independent study program, and coordinates communication between the Dept. of Public Instruction and the Educational Approval Board in Madison, and the Saint Mary’s University campus in Minneapolis. For 21 years she taught in the Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools’ Early Childhood Special Education Program. Prior to that, she owned a small business and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines.
