  • FedSTATS--A gateway to statistics from over 100 federal agencies.

  • Gallup Poll--The Gallup Poll provides information from its current surveys

  • The Modern Language Association Language Map--A Map of Languages in the United States--intended for use by students, teachers, and anyone interested in learning about the linguistic and cultural composition of the United States. The MLA Language Map uses data from the 2000 United States census to display the locations and numbers of speakers of thirty languages and three groups of less commonly spoken languages in the United States. The Language Map illustrates the concentration of language speakers in zip codes and counties. The Data Center provides actual numbers and percentages of speakers and includes census data about seven additional groups of languages less commonly spoken in the United States.

  • Polling Report--"An independent, nonpartisan resource on trends in American public opinion."

  • Population Data Sheet--for most up-to-date demographic data and estimates for all the countries and major regions of the world. The rundown provides a look at regional and national contrasts in age structure, population growth, life expectancy, income, and other determinants that mark today's deep demographic divisions.

  • U.S. Census Bureau--The Census Bureau gathers economic and social statistics on the U.S. population. Larger statistical files are in pdf or Excel format. The American Fact Finder database on this site contains summary statistics and is easier to use.
