Jim Rodgers is a Professor of Social Science at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.
Jim has been a member of the faculty since 1981, teaching primarily in political science, social science and interdisciplinary studies. Professor Rodgers holds a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern Oklahoma State University and a Master of Arts and Doctor of Arts in political science from Idaho State University.
Professor Rodgers has a commitment to research in the areas of terrorism studies and national security policy. He has published three books, two university texts and one novel. (2002), Facing Terror, Reason, Conflict and Power (2003) and Blessed Are The Poor (2006).
Jim enjoys reading, traveling, Civil War history, fishing, and being with his family. He has served on numerous committees at SMU and taught for seven years in the SMU Graduate program in management in Rochester, MN. He has also been active in the Winona community, giving frequent presentations to civic groups and serving on community commissions and in political party offices at the county level.
