The Academic Dean – Twin Cities Campus provides academic leadership for all programs and academic services in the School of Graduate and Professional Programs administered from the Twin Cities Campus. The Dean assures the effectiveness of the academic offerings by overseeing development, implementation, and evaluation of academic policies, curricula, faculty development activities, assessment of student learning processes, and other initiatives related to academic offerings and services.
The Academic Dean is responsive to the faculty, staff and students in the undergraduate through the doctoral degree level programs and serves as a direct report to the Vice President for Graduate and Professional Programs – Twin Cities Campus. The programs are organized into three Strategic Academic Units representing Education, Health and Human Services, and Management and Technology. With the assistance of an Associate Dean for Education and a Director of Undergraduate Programs, the Academic Dean provides direct area supervision to each of these units and the programs directors.
The academic governance structure includes the Strategic Academic Units, a Curriculum Committee, and an Academic Policy Committee. Academic support is provided to the governance structures through an Associate Dean for Curriculum and Assessment, a Director of Instructional Technology for the Twin Cities Campus, and a Coordinator for Academic Administration. The Faculty Development Committee and the Assessment Committee provide a representational forum for specific academic support functions. |
