John D. Poling is a tenured Associate Professor  and Chair of Philosophy at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.

Areas of interest include: Existentialism, 19th and 20th century philosophy, Philosophy of Religion, Aesthetics, Kierkegaard. Dr. Poling, who has published and lectured on the painting of Georgia O'Keeffe, also teaches in the Interdisciplinary Studies Program and the Lasallian Honors Program.
