Br. Roderick Robertson is a Professor of Art and Design at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. Br. Roderick teaches courses in graphic design and photo imaging. His main interest areas of artistic investigation include photo and computer imaging. He designed the university's logo and the sculpture in the Hendrickson circle. Roderick donated his collection of historic and artistic photographs to the university, which can be viewed in the Presidents Room in the Toner Student Center. "Digital imaging rules!" Br. Scholarly and Creative Interests
My on-going research is the area of visual communication design. This includes many different areas and media. I have most recently been studying designing on the WEB and have taught workshops here and at the Universidad LaSalle in Mexico City. I have also been interested in the history of communications from earliest art forms and the invention of writing to the more recent history of photography up to and including the digital revolution.
