Brother James Miller was a graduate of Saint Mary’s in 1966 and worked on behalf of the poor for many years in Guatemala – at the time a risky thing to do, for advocates of the poor were often viewed as adversaries to the military government. Brother James was killed in Guatemala in 1982 while repairing a wall of the La Salle Indian Center in Huethuetanango. Brother James was a man who dedicated and laid down his life, literally, for the sake of those he felt called to serve.

Campus Ministry will be selling Brother James memorial t-shirts.
