Saint Mary’s University Welcomes Clayton Tenquist as New Executive Director of External Affairs for School of Graduate and Professional Programs
MINNEAPOLIS – Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota appointed Clayton D. Tenquist to the recently created position of executive director of external affairs for the School of Graduate and Professional Programs in Minneapolis. Tenquist bring 18 years of institutional advancement experience to the position and will oversee the marketing, communications, development, and alumni relations activities of the school.
Tenquist most recently served as vice president of the Hendrickson Institute for Ethical Leadership, which is an educational enterprise of Saint Mary’s University that promotes ethical leadership through special events, corporate training for business leaders, seminars, and a regional high school scholarship program.
“I look forward to working alongside all of our School of Graduate and Professional Programs stakeholders, our alumni, community members, faculty, and students to translate and promote our Programs’ unique mission of education to the public,” Tenquist said.
Prior to joining Saint Mary’s in 2006, Tenquist worked for the American Cancer Society, Fairview Foundation, University of Minnesota, Lake Forest College, and the Sigma Chi Educational Foundation. A resident of Edina, he received his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, and a master’s degree in liberal studies from the University of Minnesota Graduate School. |
