All enrollment figures and charts are based on student registration at the fall semester data freeze dates of the respective year. The fall semester data freeze dates are approximately the tenth day of classes for the Winona campus (generally the second week of September) and at the start of the sixth week for the Twin Cities campus (generally mid-October). In fall 2007, Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota enrolled 5,960 students.
The Schools of Graduate and Professional Programs has grown steadily the past three years. Over the period of an academic year, the SGGP serves approximately 6,500 students (unduplicated headcount). More specifically, the enrollment for the undergraduate component of the SGPP has increased significantly; from fall 2003 to fall 2007 the undergraduate portion of the SGPP rose 99.4% (see Chart 2). The College enrollment for fall 2007 rose 4.5% from fall 2006 (see Chart 1).
Saint Mary's has a growing population of both international and minority students (see Charts 3 and 4). In fall 2007, international students represented 35 countries.
The proportion of full-time and part-time students to total headcount enrollment has remained relatively constant from fall semester 2003 through fall 2007. In fall 2007, nearly 66% of all students were enrolled on a part-time basis (see Chart 6). Over the last five years, about 96% of students in the College were enrolled on a full-time basis, whereas, the majority of the SGPP students were enrolled on a part-time basis; 84% in fall 2007.
